We offer three high-quality decking options: composite, redwood, and Ipe. Composite decking is extremely durable, low-maintenance, and available in a wide range of colors and finishes. It’s also eco-friendly, with many brands made from recycled materials. Redwood decking offers a classic, natural look with rich color and character—perfect for Northern California landscapes. Ipe, a tropical hardwood, is known for its unmatched durability, dense grain, and luxurious appearance. While wood options like redwood and Ipe offer stunning beauty, they may require periodic sealing or staining to maintain their finish.
Lifespan depends on the material and maintenance. Composite decks can last 25–30 years or more with little upkeep. Redwood decks last around 20–25 years, and Ipe decks can last 40+ years with proper sealing and care.
In most cities and counties—including Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and beyond—yes, you’ll need a permit for a new deck or major deck renovation. We can help guide you through the permitting process as part of your project.
If you want low maintenance and long-term performance, composite is a great choice. If you prefer the natural look and feel of real wood, redwood is classic and affordable, while Ipe offers top-tier durability and a luxury finish.
